66 Knots 03:19
Wide open air on the highway Traffic is light and we’re far from home No need for air on a Sunday Heatwave is hot on our heels, I know ‘Cause we’re so far gone Nothing but time on our hands It’s no new song No sense in making a plan We still float on Driving dusk till dawn Just enough water for bailing Crossing the ocean to find a home Radio on and we’re sailing Land on a saltwater beach to comb ‘Cause we’re so far gone Nothing but time on our hands It’s no new song No sense in making a plan We still float on Driving dusk till dawn Island bound and on a tear Island bound and on a tear 66 knots in the air So far gone Nothing but time on our hands It’s no new song No sense in making a plan We still float on Driving dusk till dawn Driving dusk till dawn Driving dusk till dawn Driving dusk till dawn

Reaction 03:09
Tread softly in the deep This static’s killing me Binary tragedy Death of good company And I mean no wrong when I tell you You’re out of line but aw hell it’s true Just one thing to do You can sit all day Go with the grain But I need some action now You can douse the flame You can play the game Give me a reaction now I want sour over sweet This lull is killing me Contrary to the beat Find me some company And I mean no wrong when I tell you Trade shoes and walk a long mile or two Fix that attitude You can sit all day Go with the grain But I need some action now You can douse the flame You can play the game Give me a reaction now You can sit all day Go with the grain But I need some action now You can douse the flame You can play the game Give me a reaction now So sit all day Go with the grain But I need some action now You can douse the flame You can play the game Give me a reaction now

Sunny Ways 03:27
Living at the door to recovery With an eye on the past and one foot in front of me In the aftermath of your honesty Where our paths cross and wind away from reality So you remain Under the blame Tried to explain But you refrain ‘Cause you know That it falls back on you again And the nature of my hypocrisy Is that I strangely don’t want you to agree with me There’s a comfort in the dichotomy Where we all feel at home in our chosen family So you remain Under the blame Tried to explain But you refrain ‘Cause you know That it falls back on you again So you remain Under the blame Tried to explain But you refrain ‘Cause you know That it falls back on you again Falls back on you again It falls back on you again Falls back on you again

The City 03:24
Speeding ahead to slow down Running the reds across town Making my way It’s that time of day The rush hour heat will break you And if you can’t escape through The tangible screen Of hot gasoline The city will get you down Memory take me now The city will get you down Memory take me now Miles away it takes you Struggle by day to stay true Night come along Erases the wrongs You bustle about the subway Streetcar is down for two days Buses are full I’m feeling the pull The city will get you down Memory take me now The city will get you down Memory take me now The city will get you down Memory take me now The city will get you down Memory take me now

Earthy Eyes 04:50
Long long long time ago I took a sudden leap Fell from the height and somehow landed on my feet It’s time to see all I can be Now that we’ve got all our lives to be free So sing it out We want to hear you now You’ve got a voice, let’s hear it You’ve got the soul, the spirit So reign over me My eyes of the sea Crash waves on your shore Like shields smash the sword And there’s nothing you can say to change my ways There’s nothing in the world will take my gaze From earthy eyes Straight from the other side get off your silver boat White sails and overcoats and seashells from the coast It’s fun to be free, now back home to me Right where we are is where we’re meant to be So sing it out We want to hear you loud You’ve got a voice, let’s hear it You’ve got the soul, the spirit In open space, you want it But don’t take it, ‘cause you can So reign over me My eyes of the sea Crash waves on your shore Like shields smash the sword And there’s nothing you can say to change my ways There’s nothing in the world will take my gaze From earthy eyes Earthy eyes Reign over me

Our Perfect 04:53
Wretched souls combine To find balance in time If the scale tips one side We never find our purpose Though we try Reaching for the light With no ladder in sight Still, we can hold tight Even to scratch the surface ‘Cause once in every other crescent moon I’ll find the time to Tangle up the words I mean to say to make a breakthrough In overtime the sudden death of every single Breath I’ve conjured up in confidence Until we find our perfect Once in every other crescent moon I’ll find the time to Tangle up the words I mean to say to make a breakthrough In overtime the sudden death of every single Breath I’ve conjured up in confidence Until we find our perfect Perfect reason To find my way home Relapse, recount And synthesize hope Synthesize hope Wretched souls combine To find balance in time If the scale tips one side We never find our perfect Perfect reason To find my way home Relapse, recount And synthesize hope

Every day I’m keeping my eye out I’m keeping my eye out just for you What do you look like, how are you walking It’s some kind of riddle, just give me a clue ‘Cause I’m so into the deep end Flapping my arms not catching a beat Just give me a reason ‘Cause I’m settling into defeat Show yourself to me Show yourself to me They tell me be patient, it’s perfectly simple But simple is something I don’t understand And my destination is only a dead end With no better option than folding my hand ‘Cause I’m so into the deep end Flapping my arms not catching a beat Just give me a reason ‘Cause I’m settling into defeat Show yourself to me And then all the clouds part Open up the sky And out you walk That perfect silver line ‘Cause I’m so into the deep end Flapping my arms not catching a beat Just give me a reason ‘Cause I’m settling into defeat Show yourself to me Just give me a reason Show yourself to me Just give me a reason

Saddle up, take a seat, pick up the telephone Swallow hard, dial me, and know you’re all alone Now you’re out on the town just like you own the place Then get home, check the glass, and know it’s all in vain You say you’re never gonna know for sure But it’s not that easy No, I’m not that bored Well maybe I’m a little insecure But it ain’t worth hanging If you’re gonna close that door So say it once, for all Hey what’s it gonna be? Batter up, take the hit and glove it down again Fill the cup with the bitterness until the end Now you’re out on the town, slipped on your poker face Speed it up, take it off, and learn to keep the pace You say you’re never gonna know for sure But it’s not that easy No I’m not that bored Well maybe I’m a little insecure But it ain’t worth hanging If you’re gonna close that door So say it once, for all Well what’s it gonna be Let’s go, speak quick, walk tall Quit lying through your teeth Or did I skip a beat You say you’re never gonna know for sure But it’s not that easy No I’m not that bored Well maybe I’m a little insecure But it ain’t worth hanging If you’re gonna close that door So say it once, for all Well what’s it gonna be Let’s go, speak quick, walk tall Quit lying through your teeth Or did I skip a beat?

Now I could show you what And we could see the same Cut the cord with neither side to blame And you may tell me then How it ought to be Guided by the lies you fail to see And it may comfort you But it won’t help me Soon you find You came too close Flying high Feeling low Staring up into the sky At every star and hole I feel as though I look into her soul Now I can say for me In all its wonder and size Bitten by the wind in open skies That the truth I see Brings tears to my eyes Soon you find You came too close Flying high Feeling low Soon you find You came too close Flying high Feeling low And endless night Travel home And watch the light Burn down alone

Cherie 04:26
She worked weekends on the course Making pennies before they were gone Dreams to dance and own a horse Though her parents say time to move on Found a pretty respectable guy With a pretty respectable job But still there’s something more Stay, Cherie Though I’m out here on a limb Wait, Listen Don’t you go back home to him Inland hometown of the west The sunset draws kinks in the sky Dares to prove wrong all the rest And steal all the breath from their lies Found a pretty respectable job With pretty respectable pay But there’s something at the core Stay, Cherie Though I’m out here on a limb Wait, Listen Don’t you go back home to him Hey, Cherie I can see it in your eyes Wait, honey You’re too sweet to say goodbye Stay, Cherie Though I’m out here on a limb Wait, Listen Don’t you go back home to him Hey, Cherie I can see it in your eyes Wait, honey You’re too sweet to say goodbye (Hey, Cherie) You’re too sweet to say goodbye (Hey, Cherie) Aw come with me babe (Hey, Cherie) ‘Cause you’re too sweet to say goodbye

about

Endless Nights is the debut full-length album by Oakridge Ave.
Recorded and produced by legendary Canadian rock producer Ian Blurton, Endless Nights is a turning point in the band's sound and dynamic, with everything from heavy-hitting rock tracks like 'Reaction' and '66 Knots' to subtle and soft ballads like 'The City'. This record was partially funded by Oakridge Ave.'s many close fans and supporters, and they would like to thank everyone for their contributions and for making this project possible. We hope you all enjoy the end product as much as we enjoyed making it!
